The staff especially at the corporate level are incompetent, arrogant and greedy.
We had other licensed landscapers look at. Its all about how much money they can make and save for themselves. The homes are poorly built, the workmanship is shoddy, customer service does not exist. You get to select from the many different types of homes built by this Builder and personalize your New Home with options and upgrades. Production builder, not a lot of selections to alter. Coworkers are supportive, base pay is ok.

On August 5, 2021, I signed a contract with Ashton Woods with a promised completion date of February 2022. They had anticipated potential supply chain issues which is why the delivery date was so far away. I went thru the design choice process and gave them over $33,000. The real problem is the cabinet configuration is the option and the appliances come with it. They won't let anyone change the cabinet option so we all get a hole in the cabinets where the appliances would go. They claim they are contractually obligated with Whirlpool and can buy an alternative. They have let everyone know they will cancel the contract if we don't close on time and we lose our earnest money of $25k. Work/life balance is as good as it gets. They have excellent benefits including a generous about of PTO, holidays and company perks. Great company culture with many team building events. The people I’ve worked with, over the years, are amazing! They madd many misrepresentations with our home purchase in the Atlanta, Ga area.

Bottom line is this Ashton Woods builds the crappest houses that can be built. I have had painters over an they tell me the wasn’t sealed. All I get from the AW warranty people is the house is settling. I bought a new house 10 years ago and never had issues like these. For now here’s a pic of the leaking pvc under the driveway. My neighbor to the south has the same issue as well as a neighbor couple of houses down.
I was to close on a home at Hamlin Reserve, FL.Wells Fargo was the closer and missed closing date. Of course, Wells Fargo and Ashton Woods blamed me. Dennis Conner told me, I was in default and would lose my $22, 000 deposit. I have to pay cash to purchase this house.
There are several walls that are not level. Do yourself a favor and avoid Ashton Woods communities in your area. The superintendent, whose job it is to ensure professional work is being completed, will blame the contractors and leave you with headaches... We have signed the agreement on July 16 to buy townhouse in Halstead Brookhaven Lot 30 for $600k and paid $20k earnest money. Due to family emergency that happened the following week because of Covid we should terminate the agreement but their sales representative is telling us that they would keep our money.
Our home was purchased in May for an Oct. closing and it got rushed to close on Jan with terrible quality work. Extremely disappointed with this brand new home I purchased from Ashton Woods. Once these guys get your money and you close then you're screwed. Please don't buy a home from them if you care about the comfort and air quality in your home.
